This item is cut for a kit of the Il-2 Shturmovik ground-attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft, but a collection of accessories for one. The Il-2 was a Soviet single-engine ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War intended for strikes against ground targets. Its characteristic design feature was the armored tub forming the load-bearing forward part of the fuselage, which protected the engine, the radiators and the crew. The machine was built in single-seat and two-seat forms and is among the most numerously produced combat aircraft of its era.
Follow the instructions of the individual sets and fit the interior parts before you close the fuselage. Cut the photo-etch off with a scalpel, make the folds in a bending tool and glue metal parts with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. Degrease unpainted photo-etch and give it a primer; do not spray over parts printed in color. Stick the masking film onto clean, dry paint, spray in thin coats and take the mask off while the paint is still fresh — it peels away more easily and the edge stays sharp.
This is a collection of accessories, not a model of the aircraft. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
