About product

M-134 Minigun detail set 1:48 (Armycast)

A universal detail set in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Armycast, executed in resin with photo-etched parts. It is not a kit but an accessory for experienced modelers that faithfully depicts the M-134 Minigun rotary machine gun. This weapon is often mounted in the doors and on the pylons of helicopters, so the set can be used on more than one type of machine.

The real subject

The M-134 Minigun is an American six-barrel 7.62 mm rotary machine gun with electrically driven barrels and a very high rate of fire. It is used as an onboard defensive weapon on helicopters and on light vehicles and craft.

Building tips

Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Bend the photo-etched parts over an edge. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Separate the fine barrels and details carefully.

Who it is for

  • For experienced modelers adding to helicopter armament in 1:48 scale.
  • For anyone interested in a faithful depiction of the M-134 rotary machine gun.

It is a resin detail set, not a kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
