Decals in 1:48 for the Mi-24D and Mi-24W attack helicopters of the Polish Air Force, five machines of the years 2001 to 2013.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mi-24 joined the qualities of an attack helicopter with room for several soldiers in the rear, which was an unusual combination in its day. The D version was given the characteristic pair of separate cockpits one above the other, and the W version differs from it mainly in armament and equipment. Poland operates both and its machines have appeared far from their home bases as well.
On the sheet you will find a helicopter with the number 461 from the Iraqi mission of 2007, a machine with the number 956 deployed at Ghazni in Afghanistan in 2013, a training example with the number 015 from a training center in 2001, further the number 176 of one of the air bases of 2012 and finally a helicopter with the number 741 of a combat helicopter regiment. The three newer variants carry desert or transitional finishes, while the older machines stay in the classic green camouflage.
The fuselage of a helicopter is full of transitions and bulges where a flat motif will not settle. Use a stronger softener therefore and let the film soften for a while before you start to shape it. On sharp edges several pricks with a needle and repeated pressing down will help, so that the air gets out.
