Polikarpov I-153 - Stalin's Falcons decal set 1:48 (ROP o.s.)

A standalone decal set (aftermarket markings) on the theme of Stalin's Falcons on I-153 in 1:48 scale from the Czech publisher ROP o.s. It holds waterslide decals, national insignia and personal markings, for the Soviet Polikarpov I-153 Chaika fighter biplane. It is an accessory for a model, NOT an airplane kit: you use the set on your own I-153 kit in this scale.

The subject

The Polikarpov I-153 Chaika was a Soviet fighter biplane with characteristic retractable landing gear and an upper wing shaped like a gull's wing. The term Stalin's Falcons was used for Soviet military airmen of the prewar and wartime era. The set therefore offers markings for striking period machines that will bring a collection of Soviet interwar and early wartime aviation to life.

Use

• dip the decal briefly in lukewarm water and let it release from the backing
• slide it onto a gloss surface on the model, prepared with varnish, and position it
• use a decal softener so that the decal settles into engraved lines and onto fabric areas
• once it has dried, coat it with clear coat for protection and to even out the sheen

This is a standalone decal set. The airplane model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
