Shahak with the Moshel nose (conversion for the Mirage IIIC) 1:48 is a resin conversion set from the brand AML that turns a Mirage IIIC model into the Israeli Shahak version with its particular Moshel nose configuration.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of an airplane but a resin conversion set for experienced modelers. It serves to rebuild a plastic Mirage IIIC model into the Israeli Shahak fighter with its characteristic forward fuselage (the Moshel nose). The package contains cast resin parts, photo-etched items and a decal sheet with markings for two versions.
Shahak was the Israeli name for the Dassault Mirage IIICJ, the backbone of the Israeli fighter force in the 1960s. Individual machines differed during their service in modifications to the forward fuselage; the Moshel nose configuration is one of these particular Israeli variants and differs in shape from the standard French form.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand the surfaces (use respiratory protection). Bond the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before fitting the new forward fuselage, check the fit dry and adjust the cut on the plastic model if need be.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit in its own right. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
