A resin kit of the British heavy cruiser HMS Exeter in her state from 1942, in 1:700 scale from the Czech maker ROP. The model is intended for experienced modelers with experience of resin. The castings capture the characteristic silhouette of a York class cruiser with a low superstructure.
HMS Exeter was a heavy cruiser of the Royal Navy, of the York class, armed with guns of eight inches. She won fame in 1939 at the Battle of the River Plate against the German ship Admiral Graf Spee. In her state from 1942 she carried additional anti-aircraft armament. The ship was sunk in March 1942 during the Second Battle of the Java Sea.
First wash any mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sprue gates and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The model suits a base or a water surface (waterline). Shades of British naval gray and possibly a camouflage scheme are recommended. Fine railings and fittings can be added with photo-etched parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
