It is not a model of the ship but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic deck of the base kit with a faithful wooden surface with rendered planking.
A wooden deck gives the model the realistic look of wooden deck planking, which is hard to imitate with an airbrush and paint. The material is usually self-adhesive, so it is stuck straight onto the plastic deck following the shape of the parts. The result is a natural grain of the wood and a fine division of the planks.
Clean and degrease the surface before sticking it down. Lay the parts exactly to the outline of the deck and press them so that they adhere well. The wood can be tinted gently and picked out with a glaze or a wash, and it is worth fixing the result with matte varnish. Work carefully, the material is thin.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit and paints are not included in the package.
