USS Guam 1945 (1:700) is a resin kit of an American large cruiser of the Alaska class, intended for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin kit captures the American large cruiser USS Guam as she was in 1945, in 1:700 scale. The model from the Czech manufacturer ROP is cast in resin and suits modelers with experience of resin sets. The contents of the package follow the actual delivery.
USS Guam was the second ship of the Alaska class, the large cruisers that are sometimes counted among battlecruisers. She entered service in 1944 and carried main artillery of twelve inches. During the close of the Second World War she operated in the Pacific, among other places off Okinawa, where she provided anti-aircraft protection for carrier task forces and took part in the shelling of the shore.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); sand with respiratory protection. On large ships in 1:700 the fine photo-etched railings, radars and masts come into their own. The model can be treated as a waterline model or with a base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
