The Northrop Delta, civil version, in 1:72 scale is a plastic kit of the American single-engine transport aircraft from the Azur brand. The decals cover machines in service with TWA, Aerovías México and AB Aerotransport.

An injection-molded plastic kit of the American single-engine Northrop Delta transport aircraft in civil guise, released by the Azur brand in cooperation with FRROM as a new tool. The decal sheet covers three particular machines: an aircraft of TWA, one of the Mexican Aerovías México and one of the Swedish AB Aerotransport. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Delta appeared in the first half of the 1930s as an all-metal cantilever low-wing monoplane with fixed, spatted landing gear and a radial engine. Structurally it followed on from the Gamma and was intended for the fast carriage of passengers and mail at a time when air transport was only taking shape. The prototype flew in 1933. The machines in this box belong to the first batches, with a sliding canopy, a single pilot and a two-blade propeller. They flew on ordinary transport duties, including mail routes in the United States, and further examples went to European and Latin American operators.
This is a short-run kit, so count on fitting the parts, on dry runs and on a little filling of the seams. The canopy is in one piece and is worth polishing and masking with narrow strips of tape. Most of the machines flew without a camouflage finish, that is in natural metal, and that is the most demanding part of the whole build: a metallic finish needs a perfectly sanded and varnished smooth base under it, or every scratch will show. Lay the metallic finish on at the end, because it is hard to mask and overspray, shade the individual panels lightly and apply the decals over gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
