The decal sheet from the manufacturer Kits-World in 1:72 scale offers markings for models of the A-20J version of the Douglas Havoc. This is a standalone accessory to a model, not a kit. The particular machines and the extent of the markings are illustrated on the packaging; given that Kits-World has issued several different sheets for the A-20 type, we recommend checking the contents before purchase.
The A-20J was the version of the Havoc with a glazed nose intended for the crew member directing the drop. In mixed formations, where attack forms with a solid nose made up the majority of the machines, these aircraft flew at the head and the other machines took their lead from them. Structurally it was the same airframe as with the other late versions: a twin-engine high-wing aircraft with Wright R-2600 radial engines and a nose wheel.
Most failures during application come from impatience in the first seconds. The water should be lukewarm, not hot; it is enough to wet a decal in it and take it out at once. Then let it rest on a paper base for half a minute to a minute, until it will not move under a fingernail, since only at that moment is the adhesive activated and the decal can be slid onto the model without tearing. You will fine-tune the position with a soft brush dipped in water, not with a finger. Finally draw the water off from under the film with a tissue and let the model dry undisturbed.
