An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Mirage III V-01 experimental aircraft with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) in 1:72 scale from Modelsvit. The box contains plastic sprues, photo-etched parts, clear parts and decals. The model is built from individual parts and is intended to be glued and painted.
The Mirage III V-01 was a French prototype of a fighter-bomber with vertical take-off and landing, developed in the middle of the 1960s. Besides the main jet engine it carried several lift engines housed in the fuselage. The program came about as a response to a requirement for a vertical take-off strike aircraft, but it was stopped for financial reasons.
Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic with a thin modeling cement. Work up the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Apply a primer before painting, spray with an airbrush and give the surfaces under the decals a gloss coat. Because of the many parts it suits more experienced builders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
