Mikromir 1:72 Moskalev LT (SAM-23) is a plastic kit of the Soviet experimental ground attack aircraft of the prewar period.
Responsibility details are not available.
This short-run plastic kit captures the Soviet experimental ground attack aircraft Moskalev LT, also known as the SAM-23. The parts are molded in gray plastic, and a clear canopy and decals are included. Because of the nature of short-run technology, the kit is intended for more experienced modelers.
The SAM-23 was a prewar Soviet ground attack aircraft project of unusual twin-boom layout. The design combined a truss fuselage skinned in duralumin with an all-wooden wing covered in plywood and fabric. It was an experimental machine that never entered series production, and so it ranks among the interesting dead ends in the development of aviation.
Short-run moldings usually need the flash cleaned off, the mating surfaces cleaned up and a dry assembly first. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and the small parts with a drop of cyanoacrylate. We suggest a primer coat and an airbrush; glue the clear canopy with an adhesive for canopies. Patience in fitting pays off.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
