1:72 Russian PAG-Type Taxiway BLAST EDITION-Circular-Winter

Russian PAG-type taxiway, BLAST edition, circular, winter (1:72, USCHI van der Rosten)

A printed diorama and display base, not an aircraft kit. It faithfully imitates a Russian airfield surface laid from PAG-type concrete slabs, as used on Soviet and Russian field airfields. The version is circular and in the winter variant, that is with a suggestion of snow and a cold palette, suited to models deployed in harsh conditions. The BLAST edition designation means that enough concrete slabs are included to create a blast wall, which can be set up behind the model or alongside it. The base comes with a set of period airfield markings. It serves to display an aircraft model in 1:72 scale to good effect. The maker is the German brand USCHI van der Rosten, a specialist in printed airfield surfaces and deck bases.

Use

• Back the base on a firm, flat board (card, wood or foam), so that it does not curl.
• Place the model on the surface so that the PAG slabs come across naturally in scale.
• Put the blast edition elements supplied together into a blast wall behind the model or at its side, as the scene requires.
• Support the winter impression with a fine scatter of imitation snow into the joints and along the edges of the slabs.
• Lay the airfield markings out following the typical arrangement of an operating surface.

Who it is for

For modelers of aircraft in 1:72 who want to display a finished model on a faithful airfield surface with a Soviet or Russian character and a winter atmosphere.

This is a display and diorama base, not an aircraft model. The model, the paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
