A plastic kit of the British fighter Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc in 1:72 scale from the Czech company AZ model. The Early Tails version concentrates on machines with the early tail configuration. The package holds injection-molded plastic sprues, a clear canopy part and decals; check the exact contents against the enclosed instructions.
The Spitfire Mk.IX came about as an answer to the new German fighters and combined the proven Spitfire airframe with the two-stage supercharged Rolls-Royce Merlin 60 series engine. The version with the type c wing carried a combined armament of cannon and machine guns. The early machines had the older tail shape, which the Early Tails version matches. The Mk.IX was among the most successful and most widespread versions of the Spitfire in the Second World War.
Clean the parts up and try the fit dry; mind the right choice of tail surfaces for the variant you pick. Use a thin cement for plastic for the gluing. Apply a primer before painting and lay the camouflage on with an airbrush. Lay the decals over a gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
