An injection-molded plastic kit of the Lockheed T-33A Shooting Star jet trainer in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Hasegawa, in a limited edition rounded out with a model of a ground tractor (an airfield tug). The Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star was a two-seat jet trainer derived from the first American production jet fighter, the P-80/F-80. Thanks to its easy handling and reliability it became one of the most widespread jet trainers in the world and served with a number of air forces, including the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). Its recognition features were straight wings and tanks on the wingtips.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Paint the two-seat cockpit and seat it before closing up the fuselage; mask the glazing. Build and paint the tractor model separately — it is often molded in a different color. The silver (bare metal) surfaces of the aircraft come out well over a smooth base; after a gloss clear coat and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
