The American V-1710-85 V engine 1:72 from Aires - a resin detail set rendering the American Allison V-1710 aero engine for a build in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Aires in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a faithfully rendered American Allison V-1710 aero engine in the V-1710-85 version, made for adding to a plastic kit and showing the powerplant exposed. The set is meant for experienced modelers.
The Allison V-1710 was an American liquid-cooled V12 engine that powered a number of American fighters of the Second World War. The V-1710-85 version was among the later forms of this engine. A well-detailed engine lets you build a model with the cowling opened up and the powerplant on view.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand with your airways protected. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Once the base metallic shades are on, bring the engine to life with a wash into the recesses and a dry brush on the edges, and add plumbing and wiring for the greatest effect.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled, without the target kit, glue or paints.
