A British wicker seat with a full back 1:48, the low one with a small and the tall one with a big leather pad, is a resin accessory for the cockpit. It replaces the plastic seat from the kit with a casting with a fine weave.

A set of resin seats for the cockpit of British machines. It is not a model of an airplane but an interior accessory. It combines two forms: a low seat with a small leather pad and a tall seat with a big pad across the whole upper part of the back. In both cases the back is full, without cut-out openings.
The plastic seat from the kit usually has a uniform surface without any distinction of materials, so the weave and the leather edging merge into one area. The resin casting is sharper in shape, the leather pad stands out on it as a separate element with an edge of its own and can therefore be separated from the wicker in color. It is precisely the difference between the matte weave and the smoother leather part that is the detail even a viewer who only glances into the cockpit will notice on a finished model.
Separate the seat from the casting block with a modeling saw with fine teeth, not with nippers. Nippers compress resin and the casting breaks off along with a piece of the back, whereas a saw cuts without pressure and the cut can be led right up to the part. Cut with the casting supported against a board, not in the air between your fingers. Then level the remainder of the block off with a file or sandpaper on a hard surface.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit in its own right. The parts are supplied unpainted; glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
