Figure of a German soldier watching for fighter-bombers in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand PANZER ART, a resin casting for you to assemble and paint yourself.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure in 1:35 scale, the manufacturer's part number FI35-110. The name from the manufacturer refers to the wartime shout Achtung Jabo, meaning watch out, fighter-bombers. The figure is modeled as a man scanning the sky, so in a diorama it leads the eye upward and gives the scene tension.
Jabo is short for the German word Jagdbomber, that is fighter-bomber. From 1944 on, Allied low-level air attack became a more serious threat to German columns on the Western Front than the enemy on the ground; movement therefore shifted to the night and by day they drove along stretches with cover. The shout Achtung Jabo was a warning call in a column, not an official term. For a modeler the subject is rewarding: it explains the camouflage branches on the vehicle and the figures looking around the sky.
Wash the casting with soapy water and let it dry, and only then will primer take on it. Cut the casting block off and sand the area down; sanding resin is better done wet and with a respirator. Glue the joints with super glue, ideally the gel type, which gives you time to settle the pose. Bring the face and the hands into the light by layering flesh tones with darker glazes in the folds, and finish the uniform with drybrushing on the edges.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
