The model comes assembled, painted and provided with markings - all you have to do is unpack it and stand it in a display case. It is not a plastic kit, so there is no gluing, sanding or spraying on it.
The AAVP-7A1 is a tracked amphibious vehicle of American design that follows on from the older LVTP-7 type. It serves to land and carry marine units: it can swim out from a landing ship, cross the surf under its own power and, once it reaches the shore, go on over land as an armored personnel carrier. Besides the crew it carries a squad of infantry, and defense is provided by a weapon turret on the hull. The abbreviation EAAK denotes the Enhanced Applique Armor Kit, that is a set of add-on armor panels mounted on the sides and front of the hull, which increases resistance to small arms fire and to splinters. The Republic of Korea Marine Corps is among the significant users of this type, and vehicles with add-on armor form its characteristic appearance.
The model is complete from the factory and calls for no modeling work. Both the surface finish and the markings are applied by the maker. A closed display case suits long-term display - dust clings to a matte camouflage finish and is harder to remove from it. Any cleaning is better dealt with using a soft brush, dry; solvents and aggressive cleaners would damage the factory finish. The 1:72 scale makes it possible to put together an extensive collection of modern armored vehicles in a small space and goes well with the other models of the same scale.
