A simplified snap-fit kit of the Soviet T-26 light tank in 1:100 scale from Zvezda, from the Art of Tactic line. The model is made up of a few parts that fit together without glue, and it still captures the characteristic look of an interwar light tank with a turret and a gun. The box usually contains a base with a flag and a unit card for the Art of Tactic tabletop game. Wargamers as well as collectors of equipment in the small scale will appreciate the model.
The T-26 was a Soviet light tank derived from a British Vickers design, and in the interwar period it was among the most numerous tanks in the world. It was built in many forms and proved itself in action in the Spanish Civil War and in border conflicts. By the beginning of the Second World War it was already obsolete, yet it still made up a large part of the Soviet tank park.
The build is a matter of a few minutes and needs no glue, but you can strengthen the joints with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a light base coat and the basic green shade, and bring out the edges with a dry brush. A dark wash in the recesses and fine dust pigments on the running gear will give even a small model a three-dimensional look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
