A sheet with the markings of the Czech Air Force in 1:144 scale. The national insignia are in the low-contrast form that the name calls low-vis, and the sheet carries two sets.
Responsibility details are not available.
National insignia were long painted on combat aircraft in full colors, because the machine was meant to be recognizable. But once the effort not to be seen began to prevail, a number of air forces moved to a muted form: the insignia stayed where they were, only in shades close to the camouflage and with little contrast against the surrounding finish. That is exactly the form this sheet carries for the Czech Air Force.
The sheet is prepared for 1:144 scale and, according to the name, carries two sets of insignia. The insignia can be used across the aircraft on which this form appeared, provided the size matches. The dimensions of the individual insignia are not stated here, unlike on some sister sheets in the same series.
Decal sheets come in different forms and the procedure follows from that. An ordinary decal comes free of the backing paper after being dipped in water and is moved onto the model; self-adhesive films, by contrast, are not soaked, and soaking damages them beyond repair. Which form you have in your hand is given in the instructions enclosed in the package. What both have in common is that the base must be smooth, glossy and free of grease: on a matte finish a whitish haze will appear under the marking. Let the finished insignia dry thoroughly and only then overcoat it with varnish.
The model, paints, varnish and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
