1:48 AC-47 Vietnam Gunship ammunition boxes

Ammunition boxes of the AC-47 Gunship, 1:48 (Quickboost)

A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This set of finely cast resin holds the boxes, that is the containers, for the ammunition of the American AC-47 ground-attack aircraft from the time of the Vietnam War in 1:48 scale. It rounds out the feed of the rapid-fire Minigun machine guns the converted transport machine was armed with, and it brings the interior of the cargo compartment to life. The set is meant for modelers who want to equip the inside of a gunship faithfully.

What the set is for

The AC-47 came about by converting the legendary Dakota transport into a ground-attack machine firing out of the side, and it is precisely the fit-out of the cargo compartment that turns a model into a recognizable gunship. The cast ammunition boxes fill the interior with faithful details, which as a rule are missing from the base kit or only suggested in it. Once painted and weathered they will lend the inside of the machine a credible look, filled up and used.

Usage tips

• Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue
• Cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection
• Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate)
• Paint and weather the boxes before seating them in the interior

Who the set is for

• For builders of the AC-47 Gunship ground-attack aircraft in 1:48 scale
• For modelers who want to equip the cargo compartment faithfully
• For lovers of Vietnam War hardware and dioramas

This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
