1:144 La-5FN is a photo-etched accessory set for a kit of the Lavochkin La-5FN fighter that you have already bought, not the model itself. It adds the fine detail that injected plastic is too coarse for in 1:144 scale.

An accessory from the Czech maker Brengun, meant for modelers who already have the matching kit and want to take it further. The set is made by etching from thin sheet and is cut for one particular kit, the Kovozavody Prostejov one. It is not a kit or a model of its own but a set of replacement and additional parts.
The La-5FN was the best-performing production version of the Lavochkin La-5. It differed from the F version in its Shvetsov M-82FN engine with direct fuel injection, which gave more power especially at low and medium altitudes. The airframe remained of mixed wood and metal construction with a lowered fuselage spine and a teardrop cockpit canopy.
Working with photo-etched parts in 1:144 scale is mainly a matter of organization. Work over a light surface with a rim so that a cut-off part does not roll away, use tweezers with a fine tip and a magnifier or a head-mounted magnifying visor. Cut the part off with a scalpel close to the fret and level the remaining stub with a fine file. Degrease the metal before gluing and make the bends over a sharp edge or in a bending tool. Dispense super glue onto a paper surface and carry it with a pin, as an excess cannot be removed in this scale without damaging the surroundings. Paint only once the glue has dried and always over a primer.
