An add-on set in 1:144 scale for a model of the Piper L-4 light aircraft, listed for the Mark I kit. The package contains two pieces.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Piper L-4 is the military form of the Piper Cub light civil aircraft. It is a two-seat high-wing monoplane with a tube frame structure covered with fabric, fixed landing gear and a low-powered engine that does without a paved runway. During the Second World War machines of this kind served for observation, directing artillery fire, liaison and casualty evacuation, and earned the nickname Grasshopper. In 1:144 scale the model comes out very small, so the outcome is decided by the cleanliness of the tiny shapes.
The set is listed for the Mark I kit and the package contains two pieces. What exactly the set replaces or supplements is not specified by the name; the extent of the parts and their position on the model are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer. Before buying it pays to compare the set with your own kit, so that you know what awaits you during assembly.
The parts are not polystyrene and cement for plastic models will not bond them; use cyanoacrylate glue and apply it in a minimal amount. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand off the remainder carefully, so that the shape is preserved. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts and apply a thin layer of base coat. In 1:144 scale work over a light surface and with fine tweezers, since a part that bounces off is otherwise hard to find. Try the fit dry first and only then glue.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
