Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American F/A-18A+ Hornet carrier-based fighter-bomber in the small 1:144 scale by Academy. The model captures a US Marine Corps machine from squadron VMFA-232, the Red Devils. Despite the small scale the kit has a broken-down cockpit, landing gear and finely engraved panel lines, and underwing armament as well.
The F/A-18 Hornet is an American multirole carrier-based fighter-bomber able to carry out missions against air and ground targets alike. The A+ version is a modernized single-seat first-generation Hornet. Squadron VMFA-232, the Red Devils, is one of the traditional units of the US Marine Corps. The armament of the Hornet includes AIM-9 air-to-air missiles as well as anti-radiation and anti-ship weapons.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. In 1:144 scale the parts are small, so work with tweezers and clean up the joints carefully. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Apply a primer before painting and lay the colors down with an airbrush; on gray naval schemes, subtly picked-out panel lines and cleanly applied decals stand out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
