About product

Firma49 1:16 German 5 l drinking water bottle (Trinkwasser)

A 3D printed resin accessory from the Czech maker Firma49 in 1:16 scale. It represents the German five-liter drinking water container (Trinkwasser) of the kind used by units in the Second World War. It serves as a detail for dioramas, for vehicles and for rear-area scenes. It is not a kit but a stand-alone accessory.

Use

  • Finishing off dioramas and vignettes on Second World War subjects
  • Fitting out models of vehicles and rear areas with period containers
  • Raising the fidelity of a scene in the large 1:16 scale

Tips for working it

3D printed resin can be sanded and drilled. Cut the part off the supports, glue it with super glue and spray a primer before painting. Before removing the supports the manufacturer recommends dipping it in hot water to soften the material temporarily.

Who the accessory is for

For modelers and diorama makers who want faithful period equipment without making it themselves.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
