An accessory of the Hobby Design brand for models in 1:18 scale. It is not a kit of a car or a finished model but a wheel set meant to replace the original parts. So reckon on the work before you finally assemble the car, because the original wheels usually have to be removed first.
Novitec is a German tuning firm that has long devoted itself to Italian supercars. For cars of the Lamborghini brand it uses its own program name Torado and offers them modifications to the look and to the performance. The wheels from these sets are among the most conspicuous elements of the whole conversion, because they have a large diameter and a deeply recessed center, which reveals the brake system behind the spokes. The modifications of this firm aim at customers for whom the production look of a car is not enough.
In 1:18 scale a wheel is markedly more conspicuous than in the usual 1:24 scale. The space behind the spokes tends to be visible too, so it pays to paint the brakes and the inside of the wheel arch before the wheel is seated for good. The edges of the spokes can take a careful polish, but watch the transition between the glossy and the matte area. A sharp division works better than a blurred one, and on a large part everyone notices it.
