A sheet of wet decals in 1:24 scale with which the livery of the BMW M3 E30 of the Tauber Motorsport team from the 1991 season of the German Touring Car Championship is transferred onto a built model. The car carried the striking sponsor livery of the Tic Tac brand and started with the number 43, with the Canadian driver Allen Berg behind the wheel. The package holds the decals and instructions for their placement.
The BMW M3 of the E30 generation is among the most successful circuit cars of the 1980s and 1990s. It was built on the production coupe, but with a markedly reworked body, wider fenders and an inline four-cylinder engine which in racing form gave the power with which the car could beat even more powerful rivals. The German Touring Car Championship was at that time one of the most closely watched series in Europe, and the rivalry of the marques in it was hard in proportion.
Lay the decals onto a gloss surface; on a matte one white patches will form under the film. First coat the part with a gloss varnish, soak the decal in lukewarm water, slide it off the backing into place and draw the excess water off. On intricate surfaces use a decal softener and remove the excess with a cotton bud, which you roll over the decal rather than drag. Finally coat the whole surface so that the edges of the film disappear.
The decals are an accessory, not a kit. The model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
