A plastic kit of the 2006 Camaro Concept study car in 1:24 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; cement for plastics and paints are needed to finish it.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Camaro Concept is a study of an American coupe shown in 2006, which foreshadowed the shape of the fifth generation of the Camaro. The body deliberately refers to the styling of the turn of the 1960s and 1970s: a long hood, a cabin drawn back, a low roof and fenders set wide over large wheels. Compared with the historical subject, though, everything is smoother and fuller, with no chrome trim and with narrow headlights recessed into the grille. The study differs in details from the production car, so it is a subject in its own right rather than the later production coupe.
The kit is made of plastic and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The number of parts, the number of sprues, the form of the body and whether a decal sheet or clear plastic parts are included are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The model is meant to be glued and painted; it is not a finished collector's replica.
Cut the parts off with nippers a little way from the part and sand the remainder down, so that no groove is left on a visible surface. Wash the body and degrease it before painting, because grease left by your hands will show under gloss varnish. Apply a gloss shade in several thin coats; one heavy coat runs and floods the shape lines. Glue the glazing last and only with cement meant for clear parts, as ordinary cement for plastics would fog the surface.
Paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
