An injection-molded plastic kit of a car in 1:24 scale from the Japanese firm Aoshima. The subject is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution of the last generation, known internally under the chassis code CZ4A, in the Final Edition version of 2015, with which the carmaker closed a long line of sharp Evolutions. The exact contents of the package and the scope of the decal sheet are stated on the packaging.
The Lancer Evolution came about as a production base for competition use and across more than ten generations it kept the same recipe: a compact four-door body, a turbocharged two-liter four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive with active distribution of torque between the axles and between the rear wheels. The last generation used an aluminum engine of the 4B11 line with a turbocharger. The Final Edition was announced as the closing of the whole family line and it differed from the ordinary versions in equipment and designation; check the exact specification with the carmaker, because it differs between individual markets.
With automotive models the paint decides. Wash the body free of mold release residue, sand the parting seams and apply a filler primer; only onto a smooth base will paint go that does not accentuate every scratch. Spray metallic as well as ordinary paint in thin coats and leave an adequate pause between them. Apply the decals onto a gloss base and seal them with a clear coat, and once that has cured, polish the surface with an abrasive compound. Glue the glazing with cement for clear parts, which does not fog them, and never with thin modeling cement for plastic. Leave the chrome parts in their original finish and glue them with spots of adhesive.
