A kit of a two-door Nissan Skyline in 1:24 scale, in a version from the More Grand Champion range. The real subject is the coupe of the generation for which the designation Skyline Japan took hold in Japan. Japanese coupes of the 1970s are among the most frequently built car subjects, and this is one of them.
More Grand Champion is a designation of the manufacturer that brings together several similarly conceived cars. Exactly how the car in this set is built and what the package contains is shown by the instructions and the illustration on the box. Reckon with a classic car kit in which the biggest share of the work falls on the body and on its surface.
Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry properly. Grease from manufacture as well as from fingers is the most common cause of paint that peels off later. Rid the body of excess material and traces of manufacture, sand it down and spray it with a primer, which will show the places that still need leveling. Apply the paint in several thin coats, because one heavy coat floods the fine edges and lettering. A clear varnish at the end unifies the gloss, but leave enough time for drying between coats.
The set will please modelers who like Japanese car subjects and want to play with the surface of a body. Even a less experienced builder can manage it, only setting aside more time for painting. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
