Triple rows of positive rivets 1:24 in white from Quinta Studio are a universal accessory for adding to and restoring the riveting on the surface of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set offers strips with raised, so-called positive rivets arranged in three parallel rows, graded for 1:24 scale. It is not a kit nor a part of a particular aircraft, but a universal surface detail with which riveting on a model is added to or restored. The white version is clearly visible while it is being fitted, so the direction and the continuity of a row are easier to watch.
Molded riveting on plastic parts tends to be soft and faint, and when joints are sanded, filled and the parting lines rubbed down it disappears from the surface altogether. Triple rows make it possible to replace the molded detail with sharply legible riveting, which works with shadow as it should once it is sprayed and brightened. They come into their own on large areas where several panels follow on from one another, and also where a riveting wheel used by hand would give an uneven pitch.
First sand the area carefully and degrease it, as on an uneven or greasy surface the detail will not seat. Take the rows off with a sharp scalpel and transfer them with tweezers, and mark the position beforehand with a faint line or masking tape, so that the row keeps its direction. Work in shorter sections, and on rounded surfaces let the material settle undisturbed before you carry on. Once it is fitted, it pays to go over the surface with a varnish, so that the detail is protected during further handling and painting.
This is an accessory for building a model, not a standalone model. Paints, glue and varnishes are not included in the package.
