Masks for spraying the national insignia onto a model of the Mitsubishi Ki-21-Ib Sally bomber in 1:72 scale, cut for the ICM kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi Ki-21 was a Japanese twin-engine bomber that the Allies gave the code name Sally. It served from the fighting in China right to the end of the war and was built in several versions, among them the Ki-21-Ib. On the large areas of the fuselage and the wing the national insignia are conspicuous, so on a finished model it shows at once whether they are regular and whether they have a clean edge.
Masking elements for spraying the round national insignia onto a model of the Ki-21-Ib in 1:72 scale. The shapes are cut for the ICM kit, so they match the shape of its surfaces and its dimensions. The exact number and the layout of the masks on the sheet are stated by the manufacturer in the instructions for the set.
The insignia are sprayed onto a finished painted surface, which should first be cleared of dust and degreased. Lay the mask on as shown, press it down all the way round and cover the surroundings with tape or paper so that overspray does not get in. Apply the paint in thin coats perpendicular to the surface, not at an angle under the edge of the mask. Lift it off shortly after drying, while the coat is still flexible. Compared with a decal, no step of carrier film is left under the insignia, and the insignia can be dusted or lightly scuffed just like the rest of the surface without any trouble.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
