Responsibility details are not available.
The Kawasaki ZX-12R came onto the market at the start of the new millennium as a representative of the class of fastest production road machines. It was built around an aluminum monocoque frame, which carries the suspension without a conventional tube structure, and around bodywork tuned for high speeds. It is precisely that enclosed bodywork that makes it a machine in which the rear end with the wheel drive is one of the few places where the mechanics are visible on a finished model.
This is a replacement final drive chain in 1:12 scale. According to the product name it is intended for the kit given in brackets, that is the Tamiya 14084. The material, the number of links and the way it is joined are given in the manufacturer's instructions, which it pays to look into before building.
First put the whole rear assembly together dry. The chain goes around both the front and the rear sprocket, so you have to fit it before you glue the swingarm and the wheel together for good; the opposite order ends in taking a finished assembly apart. Check that both sprockets lie in one plane, otherwise the chain visibly runs off to one side when viewed from behind. Work over a surface with a raised rim, as a small part easily gets lost. Apply glue only in a minute amount and never directly onto the links.
The set suits the modeler who wants the rear wheel drive better worked out than in the basic kit and does not mind handling small parts with tweezers. The kit itself, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
