Bf 108 - resin wheels and paint masks, early version, 1:32 is a detail accessory from the manufacturer Aires, not a kit of an airplane. It is intended for modelers building the machine in its form from the earlier period of service.

This is a detail set, not a model of an airplane. It contains wheels cast in resin and masks for painting them. Against the plastic wheels from a kit a resin casting has two advantages: finer and sharper relief of the tread pattern and of the sidewalls, and the absence of the mold seam, which on plastic halves runs exactly across the crown of the tire and can be sanded off only at the price of damaging the pattern. The masks then solve the other usual trouble, the border between the tire and the hub, which can hardly be traced straight with a brush. The designation of the early version means that the execution of the wheels keeps to the earlier period of the aircraft's service, so the set differs from the variant for the later form.
The Messerschmitt Bf 108 was a single-engine all-metal low-wing monoplane of the 1930s with a four-seat enclosed cabin, retractable landing gear and wing high-lift devices. It was used as a touring, liaison and courier machine and for its time it was an aerodynamically advanced design. In the large 1:32 scale the landing gear and the wheels are clearly visible, so work on them pays off.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, cut the casting block off with a saw and level the seating surface on sandpaper on a flat support, otherwise the model will stand crooked on its wheels. Put a primer under the resin before painting. Work from the hub to the tire: paint the hub, let it cure, fit the mask and press it down around the whole circumference, then spray the dark shade of the tire in thin coats. Take the mask off while the paint is still fresh. Do not paint the tire in pure black; a dark gray shade with fine dust on the sidewalls looks more faithful.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a kit of an airplane but an accessory for one. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Use respiratory protection when sanding resin.
