This is a resin set of replacement wheels, not a model of the aircraft. It holds detailed main landing gear wheels for the American F4U-1 Corsair fighter in 1:32 scale. The set 2 variant differs from the other sets in its execution and tire tread. The tread has faithful definition and a hinted weighted sag, and the hubs are cast with sharp detail. The pins and the mating surfaces match the landing gear of the Tamiya kit.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier-based fighter of the Second World War with its characteristic inverted gull wing and a powerful radial engine. It excelled in the fighting in the Pacific with the Navy and the Marine Corps alike.
The resin wheels replace the plastic parts from the kit and raise the realism of the landing gear. The range of variants makes it possible to pick the tread matching the subject you have in mind.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the tires matte black-gray, the hubs in the color of the aircraft, and bring them out with a wash. The weighted sag makes it easier to seat the model on a surface.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
