A resin detail set from the firm Aires in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of the airplane, but faithful landing gear bays for the matching Hornet kit. The castings bring a rich structure of ribs, runs and walls that plastic parts usually only suggest.
The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is an American twin-engined carrier-borne multirole fighter and attack aircraft of the navy and the marine corps. The C and D versions are among the classic legacy Hornets, which proved themselves in many deployments all over the world. The landing gear bays are among the best visible areas of the underside of a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The bays come out best after painting the base shade, bringing out the edges with a dry brush and letting a wash run into the recesses.
This is an accessory resin set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
