Polikarpov I-16 Type 10 seatbelts STEEL 1:32 are steel, color-printed photo-etched seat belts from Eduard for a model of this Soviet fighter. It is an accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains self-adhesive, color-printed photo-etched seat belts made of steel for detailing the cockpit of a model of the Soviet Polikarpov I-16 Type 10 fighter in 1:32 scale. The STEEL range shapes well and imitates the sag of fabric belts faithfully. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory. It is made by the Czech company Eduard.
The Polikarpov I-16 was a Soviet fighter of the 1930s, one of the first monoplanes with retractable landing gear in series production. The Type 10 version brought heavier armament and changes to the cockpit. The aircraft made its mark in the fighting in Spain, in the Far East and in the early part of the Second World War.
The steel belts are self-adhesive and hold their shape, so they can be draped naturally over the seat. Separate the parts with a sharp knife, and a drop of cyanoacrylate glue can be added for a surer hold. The color printing calls for no varnishing.
This is an accessory set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
