Spitfire Mk. IX late LööK 1:32 is a set from Eduard containing a pre-colored resin instrument panel and steel seat belts for models of the late version of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The LööK set combines a pre-colored resin instrument panel and pre-colored photo-etched seat belts in steel for models of the late version of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX in 1:32 scale. It is not a model or a kit but a detail accessory for the cockpit. The panel is cast in resin and printed in color including the dials, so it replaces the plastic part with no painting.
The Spitfire Mk.IX was one of the most successful versions of the legendary British fighter, powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine with a two-stage supercharger. The late series differed in the details of the equipment and in the layout of the cockpit. The intricate instrument panel of the Spitfire is an ideal place for raising the realism of a model.
Separate the resin panel from the casting block with a saw, clean up the surface and wash the parts free of the mold release agent. Glue both the panel and the belts with cyanoacrylate. The steel belts shape well, so form them into a natural sag over the seat. Any evening out of the shades can be fine-tuned with a delicate varnish.
The accessory does not contain a model, glue or paints. It serves exclusively for detailing the cockpit.
