The Su-30MKI is a two-seat multi-role combat aircraft of the Su-27 family, developed for the Indian Air Force. It is recognized against the base machine by the canards at the wing root, which together with its powerful engines give it a reputation as an exceptionally agile aircraft. The two-seat cockpit and the massive silhouette make it an impressive model in 1:32 scale.
The contents are a decal sheet. The extent of the motifs, the number of machines shown and their units are in the instructions enclosed with the sheet. The name states that the sheet is prepared for a kit from the Trumpeter brand; even so, check the compatibility from the manufacturer's data before buying.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive treatment. A soaked self-adhesive film is irreversibly ruined, whereas a wet decal can be soaked later as well. With an ordinary wet sheet, cut the motif out together with its backing, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it can be moved. The base under the decal has to be glossy and clean, or a white haze will appear under the film. Once dry, go over the area with varnish according to your usual procedure, so that the edge of the film disappears.
The sheet will serve builders of a large scale who want to finish a model differently from the markings supplied in the kit.
