1:32 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I/Mk.IIa Pt 2 is the second part of the Xtradecal decal series with markings for models of early Spitfires in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of waterslide decals from the British manufacturer Xtradecal for models of early Spitfires in 1:32 scale. The designation second part means that it is a continuation of the same series, that is a standalone sheet with different content from the first part, and not duplicate goods. The product does not contain a model; it is purely printed markings.
The Spitfire Mk.I was the first production version of the fighter designed by Reginald Mitchell, powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin III engine and armed with eight 7.7 mm machine guns. The Mk.IIa version was built at the new factory at Castle Bromwich and received the stronger Merlin XII with a different starter system. Early Spitfires are told apart by their slim fuselage, the thin elliptical wing and, on the first batches, the two-blade propeller that was later replaced by a three-blade variable-pitch one. It is precisely on the machines of this period that the national insignia, the code letters and the shades of the camouflage changed several times in a short space of time.
Do not underestimate the soaking time. It is enough to hold the decal in warm water for only a few tens of seconds, until the film starts to shift on the paper. An over-soaked decal loses its adhesive and does not hold on the model. Take the paper out of the water earlier, therefore, bring it to the spot and slide the decal onto the surface with a soft brush. Blot the excess water away with a paper tissue from the center toward the edges, so that no bubbles are closed in under the film.
This is a decal sheet, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
