A figure in the conception of American pin-up posters, 1:32 scale, the third in the line. It brings a display by an aircraft or a vehicle to life and serves as a small display case piece in its own right too.

Pin-up is the designation for a stylized female figure in the conception of the American posters of the time. In modeling it serves to give a scene a human dimension: however well a machine is built, it comes across as empty until somebody stands by it. The number three in the name tells this figure apart from the other items of the same line, which differ in pose and conception.
A figure beside a model gives away the size of the machine at once. In 1:32 scale an adult person measures roughly five and a half centimeters, so the face and the gathering of the clothing can be seen on a figure and at the same time it fits on a small base. It comes into its own with an aircraft, with a vehicle and on its own in a display case. The exact composition and the division into parts are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Wash the figure in lukewarm soapy water before painting and let it dry, otherwise the paint holds badly. Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the area down with fine sandpaper. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. Paint the skin in thin layers and build the shadows up gradually; leave the eyes and the lips until the end and work with a magnifier and a thin brush.
For modelers who build a display and want to try painting a face in a manageable scale. Unless stated otherwise, the paints, glue and base are not part of the delivery.
