The set Frundsberg 2 - 10 SS-Panzer Division - SdKfz 250 NEU Versions in 1:35 scale holds markings for the late hull in the versions SdKfz 250/1, SdKfz 250/3 and SdKfz 250/7.

The second part differs from the first in the shape of the hull. It holds markings for the SdKfz 250 in the neu version, that is in the simplified late form, and that for the types SdKfz 250/1, SdKfz 250/3 and SdKfz 250/7 used with the 10 SS-Panzer Division Frundsberg unit.
The simplified hull introduced in 1943 had fewer folds and straighter sides, so it could be made faster and with less labor. The transport 250/1 remained the most common, the 250/3 served as a mobile command post with signals equipment and the 250/7 carried an 8cm mortar along with its ammunition. The unit fighting in 1944 in Normandy and later in the Netherlands used both generations of hull side by side, which opens up room for modelers for a comparative display cabinet.
The straight sides of the late hull make the work easier, but on the other hand every little bubble under the film is more conspicuous on them. Apply a decal onto a damp area, therefore, and push the water from the center toward the edges with a soft cloth. If you are planning a heavy layer of mud, place the markings higher on the hull, where they will stay visible. Apply the final matte varnish in several light coats. Try the placement out dry beforehand and mark the edges lightly with a soft pencil.
