The thirteenth part of the series records the markings of older types that appeared again in the fighting of 2022 and 2023. According to the name these are the T-62M in the obr 2022 version, the standard T-62M, then the wheeled BTR-60BP and the BMP-1P infantry fighting vehicle.
The T-62 tank entered service at the start of the 1960s as the first series-built machine with a 115mm smoothbore gun; the letter M designates a later modernization with additional protection and a new sight. The abbreviation obr with a year is used for additional modifications carried out only in the course of service. The BTR-60BP is an eight-wheeled amphibious armored personnel carrier with an enclosed gun turret, and the BMP-1P a variant of the first Soviet infantry vehicle with a revised mount for guided missiles.
The cast turret of the T-62 tank has a coarse surface texture onto which a decal will not seat by itself. Use a stronger softener, therefore, and press the film down vertically from above with a bristle brush. On the wheeled vehicles take care that the markings do not reach into the parting gap of the hatches. At the end cover everything with a matte varnish and add dust at the level of the running gear. The lettering and numbers of these machines tend to be only faintly distinct in period shots.
