A figure set from Dynamo-Models in 1:35 scale out of the range the name marks with the year 40, that is the period of the French campaign of 1940. The set carries the designation French Hotchkiss Team and is meant as a diorama accessory to a scene of your own, not as a vehicle kit.
Hotchkiss was a French arms maker whose name was carried both by a range of machine guns and by the light tanks of the French army. The name of the set gives no closer definition - if you are buying it for a particular model, look at the illustration on the packaging. For a diorama that is no fundamental obstacle: French figures of 1940 can be used with either possibility and in a purely infantry scene as well, because the designation Team points to the shared activity of a group.
If you paint the set yourself, keep a common khaki base from the French field palette for the figures and look for the differences in the shades of wear rather than in different colors - the group is meant to read as one whole. A crew is read above all from positions and gazes, so lay the figures out dry and look for the angle at which they are evidently working together. Apply the layers thinly so that the features of the face and the folds of the cloth are not lost, and bring out the texture of the cloth with an oil wash. Even the base of the scene out with pigment so that the figures do not sit on the terrain as a foreign element.
