This figure captures the man who commands the crew: he takes in the firing data, checks how they are set and gives the order to fire. The name determines one piece and a scale of 1:35, usual for kits of vehicles and of artillery equipment. The goods come from the Ukrainian brand Spalah, whose range consists of figures and small items for dioramas.
The commanding member of the crew keeps to the side of the carriage so as to take in the whole group and the surroundings of the position. It is he who gives the scene its action: without him a group of figures looks like a set of individuals, with him like a team working together with a clear focus. The M777 can be moved by helicopter thanks to its low weight and deployed away from prepared positions, so you can place the commander equally well by a cross-country vehicle, by a radio set or over an unfolded map.
The proven sequence is a primer from a spray can, blocking the main areas with an airbrush and only after that work with the brush. A dark wash deepens the folds of the clothing, and once it has dried you take it off the raised places with a damp brush. Build the skin tone in three steps: the base, shadow into the eye sockets and under the chin, light on the forehead and the cheekbones. Make the helmet and the gear matte, so that they do not compete with the face.
Paint and accessories are not included; you get the figure as a raw casting.
