A kit of the British light utility 4x4 vehicle under the designation FV18001 Mk. 1 with a canvas roof, in the early production version and in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
After the war the light off-road vehicle with drive to all wheels was in the British army everywhere someone or something had to be carried off the road. Vehicles of this kind were listed by the army under the numbers of the FV system, in this case FV18001 Mk. 1, and the dimension of eighty inches in the designation refers to the wheelbase. It is therefore a short, low and inconspicuous machine with an open body and a folding canvas roof.
The set presents the vehicle in the early production version and with the canvas roof fitted. The 1:35 scale is rewarding for this type: the vehicle comes out small, so it fits easily into a diorama next to larger equipment or figures, and yet there is enough room on it for details of the interior.
The kit will please builders of postwar British equipment and modelers who are looking for a small vehicle for a diorama with a build that takes a few evenings. The exact contents of the package and the procedure are to be found in the maker's instructions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
