An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Scammell Pioneer TRCU30 semi-trailer in 1:35 scale from Thunder Model. This is not a vehicle in its own right but a 30-ton gooseneck semi-trailer, the load-carrying part of a tank transporter outfit towed by the Scammell Pioneer tractor. The set contains plastic parts supplemented with photo-etched parts and decals.
The British tank transporter outfit based on the Scammell Pioneer consisted of a tractor and the TRCU30 lowboy semi-trailer with a capacity of around 30 tons. During the Second World War it served to move tanks and heavy equipment, which spared their own running gear on long journeys. The gooseneck semi-trailer allowed vehicles to be driven on from the rear.
Assemble and paint the chassis and the load floor before final assembly. Use thin cement for plastic and clean away the flash. A primer as a base, the main colors with an airbrush, and finish the surface with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects. The semi-trailer works well in a diorama together with the tractor and the tank being carried.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
