A detail set of the American heavy machine gun Browning M2HB in .50 caliber (12.7 mm) for the M49 ring mount in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand Master. Its core is a turned metal barrel, completed by printed parts for the machine gun, the mount with its cradle and carriage and an ammunition can with ammunition; decals are included as well. The set replaces the plastic parts and makes it possible to build a complete, faithfully detailed weapon. It is not a vehicle model but an armament accessory.
A metal barrel gives the machine gun a perfectly circular cross section and a sharply drilled muzzle with no parting line, which plastic needs laboriously sanding away. The M49 ring mount was used on a range of American vehicles and half-tracks of the Second World War, so the set will serve on many kits.
Wash the uncured print resin residue off the printed parts and separate them from the supporting blocks; glue both the metal barrel and the printed parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The ammunition can may be assembled open or closed. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer.
An armament accessory, not a standalone vehicle model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
