A set of photo-etched metal parts for a model of the American CH-54A heavy helicopter in 1:35 scale. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery.
Responsibility details are not available.
The CH-54 is an American heavy helicopter built for carrying loads slung beneath the fuselage. It has no cargo cabin: between the tall landing gear and the load-carrying beam of the fuselage there is open space into which the load or a transport container is slung. The cabin has a station at the rear from which one of the crew watches the load and directs its placement. The CH-54A form is the first production version. It is precisely the exposed frame of the fuselage and the tall landing gear that make this machine a model on which far more structural features are visible than on a helicopter with a closed fuselage, and every fine detail tells on it.
This is a set of photo-etched metal parts for a model in 1:35 scale. Photo-etched parts are made from thin sheet and therefore suit everywhere a plastic part comes out disproportionately thick for the scale. The extent of the set and the kit it is tied to are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Lay the fret on a hard surface and separate the parts with a sharp blade, not with pliers. Sand the remains of the tab off with a fine file after separating. Make the bends over the edge of a steel ruler or in a bending tool, always in one movement and along the whole length of the bend at once. Wash and degrease the metal before painting and lay on a primer meant for metal, or the coat will rub off in handling.
The model of the helicopter, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
